@MECCAGLOBAL First of all let the people know who you are, your name, where you from? Originally born and raised ?

@HYMEIN I’m Hymein, the Hip Hop ambassador. I call myself the Hip Hop ambassador because I love to travel and Rep Hip Hop in every country I go to. Born in Newark NJ and lived in a few places from East Orange, New Brunswick, Roselle to the suburbs of Hillsborough.

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL Who were  some of your musical influences growing up?

@HYMEIN Some of my influences were Tupac, Nas, Biggie, Jadakiss, to Kendrick Lamar Big Sean, SlaughterHouse and J. Cole.

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL What Artist made you want to do  Music or pursue Your music career?

@HYMEIN I don’t know if I can think of 1 specific person but LL Cool J comes to mind. I remember being a little kid and imitating his moves and mad because I was way to young to drive a nice car like he did. (Not that I could afford it anyway! lol) Also, the content J. Cole comes with and the fact he still blew up, let’s me know you can spit that real Hip Hop without compromising your integrity.

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL What advantages do you see for independent artist today, what is the difference you see now vs before the digital era for artist? DO YOU THINK all this social media help or hurt the artist why or why not ?

@HYMEIN I think this is the digital era for artists. The advantages are you can actually get yourself poppin’ as long as you know what you are doing. It depends on your situation, meaning some people don’t have the money to finance their career so when a label comes with the bag, it’s definitely helpful. I personally like my freedom so if I want to go live-reside somewhere else or don’t wanna do shows for a few months, being independent helps facilitate that as I don’t have anybody telling me where to be and what to do at all times. Social media is as good as the person using it. You can watch fight compilations all day on Youtube or you can learn a new language and ways to get your music heard.

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL What’s the difference between Rap & HIP HOP in your opinion?

@HYMEIN Rap is Something you do, creatively put words together to express yourself. Hip Hop is a lifestyle which can be expressed in, the way we talk, the way we walk and many other things. The person that is part of the Hip Hop community might think a certain way and dress a certain way. We may not all be on the same page but we are in the same book for the most part.

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL Name a Artist you slept on.

@HYMEIN I sleep on a lot of artists only because I need to hear more then 1 good song before I am a believer.

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL Whats your thoughts on Artist using their voices to speak out against police brutality, with all the injustices we see going on around the globe?

@HYMEIN I think it’s great (As long as the artist is intelligent) A lot of people don’t use their own mind, they just imitate their favorite celebrity and think they are supposed to do what they do so if somebody is speaking some real stuff and using their popularity to help bring change for the better, that’s a great thing.

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL Are you registered to vote? How important do you think this upcoming election in November  will be ?  And if you not registered go online and register right now!!!!

@HYMEIN Yes, I am registered to vote and vote not only for the president like a lot of people do but for local elections as well. I’m not gonna lie, I don’t fully believe in the system and how people say, Oh, just vote and make change or you don’t have a right to talk. I vote just in case it works but we still have the same problems year after year so something else is going on.

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL I AGREE I vote because our PEOPLE FOUGHT & DIED FOR MY RIGHT. MOST WOMEN WERE NOT ALLOWED TO VOTE ( HENCE OUR 19TH AMENDMENT WAS ESTABLISHED AFTER DECADES OF PROTEST— SO I HAVE MY OWN REASON WHY I GO HARD FOR THIS VOTING SITUATION ) I respect everyone’s views on this topic! anyway-Do you think artist Should be involved in Politics encouraging our youth to get involved in voting why or why not ?

@HYMEIN I believe it’s up to that artist.  You can be more of what we like to call a conscious artist and they may know what they are talking about so it’s good to have that influence on young impressionable minds but if you are the freaky sex type rapper, You might not wanna talk politics as nobody will take you seriously. lol

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL LOL That’s not true- everybody got some type of influence to somebody that’s listening regardless of who it is everybody got something important to say, and believe it or not- sex got more of a influence than most people think! LOL. Right after sex, or a lap dance or whatever sexual act you just finished – who knows – just say – now let’s go vote! LOL you never know! Anyway moving right along— Do you think our legends & Pioneers left a blueprint for the up and comers to follow in their footsteps accordingly ?

@HYMEIN I think certain pioneers did and it’s up to the newer rappers to take advantage of those teachings. You have the rappers that come in and think everything starts with them, knowing damn well they were inspired by other artists but they are too big headed to admit it. Some rappers helped raise me with the jewels that they would spit so I definitely took notice of their blueprint.

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL TRUE… Is there a specific COLLABORATION or song you would have loved to be a part of OR  what artist would you like to collaborate with?

@HYMEIN There are a lot of songs I would have liked to be a part of and artists I’d do a song with, like Big Pun. He was very lyrical and funny which is my style. Same with Fred The Godson! R.I.P to the both of those brothers. I would love to do a song with Joyner Lucas, Crooked I, Joel Ortiz, Nas, people that are going to force me to step my pen game up.

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL REST IN PEACE TO MY STREET BROTHER FROM ANOTHER FRED THE GOD SON! GORDO!

@MECCAGLOBAL What’s the name of this video you just sent me? It look like you having a lot of fun in the video— How did you link up with Alfred Vargas from Colombia to shoot the video? Tell me about the video, the concept, and the song.

==

@HYMEIN The video and song is called Hold Up. It’s basically a song where I’m showing lyrical talent. It’s important to me to come out letting people know I respect the game and it’s history and have talent to add to the game instead of just leaching off it with the latest trend. The producer (3GP) said Hold on 1 motherfucking minute at the start of the track so that’s what I went with! lol I shot the video in Medellin, Colombia. I was there to shoot another video but the models were not professional and prepared so I just went with clips of me chillin in Medellin and put it into a video.  I visit Medellin, Colombia a lot and he is the director for an artist I know by the name of HolguinMC. I liked his work so decided to have him direct the video while I was there. We straight, free styled a lot of it, including having the break dancers in it.

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL What advice would  you give to other Independent artist working on their music? DROP SOME JEWELS TO THEM.

@HYMEIN Don’t give up. If your music is good, you can’t give up. Study the good rappers that came before you. (Notice I said the good ones.) Just because a rapper came out years before you doesn’t mean they were good or had a QUALITY CONTRIBUTION to the game so you gotta know how to recognize real talent vs the B.S that made it through and have the nerve to act like they paved the way for a real artist when they were really more of a cancer to the game. —-Be yourself. Don’t be a carbon copy of another rapper. ———Look at J. Cole, he came out talking about college life and blew up. Many people have gone to college and can relate to that content. Don’t listen to the naysayers. Respect those that are nice and paved the way for you to even be able to make a living from music.

===

===

===

@MECCAGLOBAL What upcoming projects are you working on- what should the people be on the look out for coming next ?

@HYMEIN I’m going to be releasing more songs and freestyle on all streaming platforms and YouTube to build an audience of supporters who will eventually allow me to drop an EP and do some shows. We are in the pandemic era so who knows what the future will bring. Online promotion is very important but I wanna see the people and hope I can do so at some point when this pandemic gets under control.
